About Me

My photo
Laura
Mountain Brook, Alabama
I teach music at Crestline Elementary School for K-6th grade students. I am fortunate to work in a school with two music teachers. Janet and I have so much fun together and learn a lot from each other. We have both received National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music. We strive to make music exciting and rewarding for our students. We find that when we push them to excel, they meet our expectations and feel a sense of pride. We build our lessons based on meeting standards, but each lesson must pass this test: Will we enjoy it? If we are having fun, our students will, too. Our mission is to make music education challenging, effective, and engaging for all our learners. In other words, we want to make music rock!
